Welcome to Moonbean Coffee Company.

The idea for Moonbean Coffee Company was first planted in the spring of 1994. We noticed an increased interest in premium gourmet coffee yet there was a lack of selection and availability of freshly roasted coffee beans.

It was then decided to open our first retail location with on site small batch micro roasting. Our retail store was opened in the spring of 1995 in the heart of Kensington Market, one of North Americas oldest outdoor markets. We became an instant success as people discovered where to get a large selection of freshly roasted coffees from around the world.

At Moonbean we carefully select the highest grades of the finest beans from each region, “cupping” each one to determine if it meets our strict standards.

After approval, the beans are then micro-roasted in small batches to carefully create the optimal flavour profile. The reason for deciding to roast our coffee in small batches was that this process enables us to carefully coax out the unique characteristic traits of each type of coffee. At Moonbean we offer a wide selection of coffees from single origin to our own signature blends as well as Fair Trade Organics we also offer a wide range of roast styles.

We encourage you to try the variety that we offer to experience the superior quality of our coffees.

For those non coffee moments we also offer a wide selection of loose leaf teas.
